MEN ARE LIKE LANTANAS AND BLUE SAGE

PS Last evening a woman was driving by and stopped to tell me how beautiful my property was as I was out weed eating. I was stunned because as hard as I try, I always feel so limited in what I can do with this soilless rock and steep terrain. Finally, I have given in to for the most part a bit of a wild landscape primarily those large Lantanas and some 2 foot Blue Sage that looks like giant bluebonnets. I was thinking as she left, first what a balm to my heart to hear that was and second, that I want roses and lush tropical plants, but God made native plants to survive and show his glory in these adverse conditions– Like MEN!! Roses take so much care and do not survive the extremes of heat, cold and drought—neither can topicals. Men are like the Lantanas and Blue Sage which die back in winter and but will faithfully emerge in as large shrubs, blooming and prolifically seeding “babies” again in the hardness of rock and little soil._
_So, like men!!!
